Sterling lives in Chicago, Illinois. However, he was born and raised in North Carolina, so he is quite familiar with NCAA basketball and humidity.

Sterling has been an artist his entire life, drawing mostly as a hobby for years while he studied theatre and writing in school. He spent a number of years performing and teaching improv and sketch comedy both in Wilmington, NC and in Chicago at the famous Second City.

Since arriving in Chicago, he picked up graphic design as side hustle to supplement his income. This came after years of dabbling in writing and drawing comic strips through which he learned the ins and outs of programs like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Currently, Sterling helps assemble and design presentations and proposals for a company called ABM. In his down time, he still picks up freelance illustration and design work while also keeping hard at work on his own creative projects.

Sterling will be publishing his first one-shot comic book with CEX publishing in 2023!
