MIDDLE-EARTH MAP RESTORATION
This restoration is a pet project of mine I meant to do for years, and I finally managed to find time for during quarantine. I did all the editing in Adobe Photoshop. I mostly focused on repairing scratches, bends, and tears. However, I also did some slight color correction to try to imitate more of how I think the original colors may have appeared. The map was in a 1973 calendar that was given to me as a boy, and it hung by my bed while I was reading the Lord of the Rings for the first time.

The design on this artwork is credited to J.R.R. Tolkien, C.R. Tolkien, and Pauline Baynes (copyright George Allen & Unwin, Ltd., 1971). Therefore, I will not sell it, but if you are willing to honor copyright laws and only use the image for personal use, I have provided a free jpeg copy of the restored version below. This copy is the highest resolution I could fit on this server, but if some true nerds are interested in the highest resolution PDF, please email me. (I respect you.) Enjoy!
