The original of this image was drawn during the Drawtober challenge in 2022. It was a much simpler image as I only had one night to work on it. I found a speedpaint online that used a style I have been fascinated with recently, so I slowed it down to 25% speed and painstakingly tried to follow the artist’s process to see how he did it. I then applied the style to this picture. I really enjoyed the results, but it took me many, many hours.

I started drawing this Anya piece to play with coloring in this style that is popular in Japanese anime art, but as a fan of the show, I had to make the set of all three. I drew Yor second and saw the theme of some pink colors, so for Loid, I saw an opportunity to tie him into the group with the pink on the ball gun he has in one of the episodes.
