This was a digital painting I based on the process used by the popular Chinese artist, WLOP. I wanted to really play with the contrast between the sunlight and the varying sources of ambient light.
This was an Inktober piece based on a picture from the Mandalorian tv show. I colored it for fun and liked the results. Her braid is definitely showing my anime influences.
One of my favorite Star Wars characters and character designs. See “Process” for more on this one.
Deco Vader was my first attempt at doing deco-style Star Wars artwork. The symbolism that emerged from the style was unintentional, but I like the way the Death Star background is reminiscent of religious iconography from many different cultures.
This came from another Inktober list. The character comes from the Star Wars Visions series which were all stories made by Japanese animation studios.
This was a fun piece based on a Gil Elvgren pin-up painting. I was playing around with trying to digitally get a look that would imitate his original painting style.
